ABOUT THE ICON OF OUR LADY OF ASSUMPTION
Our Lady of Assumption is the Patron Saint of New Zealand. To honour her, we decided to ask the Studio of John the Baptist in Auckland to paint a brand new image of Our Lady of Assumption for our NZ Rosary Crusade. In this beautiful Icon, Our Lady is holding out some Rosary beads and inviting us to join her in prayer. The bold colours typify New Zealand – a land of lush vegetation, surrounded by water.
